BRV Circuit
Step 14 :
- R28 (470 ohm) located center left between D7 and R29.
- R29 (3.9k ohm 0.1% tolerance) located center left between C28 and C36.
- R30 (1k ohm 0.1% tolerance) located center left between C27 and C32.
- C27 (0.22µF) located center left between D7 and R30.
- C32 (0.1µF) located center left between R30 and R29.
- D6 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the left side of the PCB towards the white line. It is located center left between C4 and D7.
- D7 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the right side of the PCB towards the white line. It is located center left between D6 and C27.
MAP circuit
Step 15 :
- C20 (0.22µF) located left center between C21 and R13.
- C22 (0.22µF) located left center between U6 and C20.
- C21 (0.33µF) located left center between C23 and C44.
- C23 (0.01µF) located left center between U6 and C21.
- R13 (1k ohm) located left center between C20 and D16.
- U6 (MPX4100AP) for normally aspirated version, if for boosted application use MPX4250AP instead.
Use needlenose pliers to bend the leads of the MAP sensor approximately 1mm away from the body of the sensor, make sure to bend the leads so they face away from the part number etched into the body of the MAP sensor as shown in the picture above.
RPM/Position Inputs
Step 16 :
Only perform either the Hall/Opto/Digital OR the VR Input Sections but not both.
- Install Common RPM Components
- C24 (1nF) located top center between R19 and R18.
- C25 (1nF) located top center between R16 and R19.
- C26 (0.1µF) located top center between C42 and C43.
- C42 (10nF) located top center between R19 and C26.
- C43 (1µF) located top center between C26 and R18.
- R11 (10k ohm) located top center between D4 and R10.
- R12 (10k ohm) located top center between R18 and P20.
- R9 (2.4k ohm) located top center below D4. This is optional for diagnostics.
- R10 (2.4k ohm) located top center to the right of D5. This is optional for diagnostics.
- D4 (Green LED) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the bottom edge of the board (towards R9). This is indicated by the short lead of the LED. located top center above R9. This is optional for diagnostics.
- D5 (Green LED) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the top edge of the board (towards R17). This is indicated by the short lead of the LED. located top center above R11. This is optional for diagnostics.
Step 17 :
- *RPM0 - Hall/Opto/Digital RPM Input *
Install :
- R18 (1k ohm) located top center between C43 and R12.
- R19 (1k ohm) located top center between C25 and C24.
- R22 (1k ohm)
- R83 (1k ohm) Connect one lead of this resistor to the R19 pad closest to U4 and the other lead to the row of pads that join C26, C42, C43 that are closest to C24.
- Jumper (wire) Connect a jumper wire from CRANK- to one of the Ground or Shield pads.
- R23 (0.1 uF) Install a capacitor in this position ONLY IF you are having sync issues.
OR
- *RPM0 - VR Input *
Install :
- R23 (5k ohm)
- R18 (10k ohm) located top center between C43 and R12.
- R19 (10k ohm) located top center between C25 and C24.
Step 18 :
- *RPM1 - Hall/Opto/Digital RPM Input *
Install :
- R16 (1k ohm) located top center between R17 and C25.
- R17 (1k ohm) located top center between JP10 and R16.
- R21 (1k ohm)
- R84 (1k ohm) Connect one lead of this resistor to the R16 pad closest to U4 and the other lead to the row of pads that join C26, C42, C43 that are closest to C24.
- Jumper (wire) Connect a jumper wire from CAM- to one of the Ground or Shield pads.
- R20 (0.1 uF) Install a capacitor in this position ONLY IF you are having sync issues.
OR
- *RPM1 - VR Input *
Install :
- R16 (10k ohm) located top center between R17 and C25.
- R17 (10k ohm) located top center between JP10 and R16.
- R20 (5k ohm)
CHT circuit
Step 19 :
- C33 (0.1µF) located bottom center between R32 and D11.
- C36 (1µF) located bottom center between JP6 and D12.
- R31 (2.49k ohm) located bottom center between D12 and D10.
- R32 (470 ohm) located bottom center between D12 and C33.
- D12 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the top edge of the PCB. This is indicated by the white line.
- D13 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the left edge of the PCB. This is indicated by the white line.
- JP6 This is just a wire jumper. You can use one of the diode leads that you snipped off for this jumper.
MAT circuit
Step 20 :
- C28 (0.1µF) located bottom left center between R26 and C32.
- C30 (1µF) located lower left center between R13 and D9.
- R24 (2.49k ohm) located lower left center between D16 and R26.
- R26 (470 ohm) located lower left center between R24 and C28.
- D8 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the top edge of the PCB. This is indicated by the white line.
- D9 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the bottom edge of the PCB. This is indicated by the white line.
IAT circuit
Step 21 :
- C29 (0.1µF) located bottom center between C31 and D31.
- C31 (1µF) located bottom center between C33 and C29.
- R25 (2.49k ohm) located bottom center between D12 and D11.
- R27 (470 ohm) located bottom center between D11 and C29.
- D10 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the top edge of the PCB. This is indicated by the white line.
- D11 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the top edge of the PCB. This is indicated by the white line.
- JP5 This is just a wire jumper. You can use one of the diode leads that you snipped off for this jumper.
Wideband O2 lamba input circuit
Step 22 :
- C34 (0.1µF) located bottom lower left between D17 and C35.
- C38 (0.22µF) located bottom lower left between D16 and D17.
- R33 (470 ohm) located bottom lower left between C38 and R34.
- D16 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the right edge of the PCB. This is indicated by the white line.
- D17 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the right edge of the PCB. This is indicated by the white line.
TPS circuit
Step 23 :
- C35 (0.1µF) located bottom lower left below C34.
- C37 (0.22µF) located bottom lower left between C35 and R34.
- R34 (470 ohm) located bottom lower left between C37 and D15.
- D14 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the bottom edge of the PCB. This is indicated by the white line.
- D15 (1N5818-TP) Direction dependant, orient the K lead to the top edge of the PCB. This is indicated by the white line.
